RESCUING MALNOURISHED BABIES

SPONSOR A BABY

100% of the 2ndMilk sponsorships go directly to saving the lives of the most vulnerable babies living in developing countries.

Our plan is to restore malnourished babies back to health, teach them about the love of Jesus, and provide them with the best education possible in order to raise the next generation of leaders in each nation.

WHO WE ARE

About 2ndMilk

Other organizations have said that providing nutrition for malnourished babies in developing nations is too hard and too expensive. Because of this, the mortality rate below the age of 2 is very high. 2ndMilk is a 501c3 that is committed to saving the lives of malnourished and orphaned babies in third world countries around the globe. Whether they’ve been impacted by maternal mortality or other life-threatening circumstances, 2ndMilk provides critical nutritional assistance through baby formula and nutritional education for acute malnourished babies that are facing immediate starvation and death. This allows us to meet a need that others are not currently addressing.

WHAT WE DO

2ndMilk Programs

01

BABY FORMULA

2ndMilk provides powdered formula to orphaned babies that have lost their mothers or do not have access to breast milk.

02

SHARING THE GOSPEL

The 2ndMilk program is centered around sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, discipling those that know Jesus and preparing this next generation to lead their communities to Spiritual Freedom.

03

NUTRITIONAL EDUCATION

2ndMilk has a team of nutritionists that continually teach the local communities about proper education for their children living in the villages.

04

ACADEMIC EDUCATION

2ndMilk provides private education to the babies after they turn 5 years of age

05

CHICKEN HOUSES

2ndMilk builds small chicken farms that help create local protein, local jobs, and creates sustainable income used for private education of the orphans.

WHY WE DO IT

Our Mission

Laurent Chimathembe Baby Formula Sponsorship

Laurent and Lawrence Chimathembe are a set of twin boys born on September 29, 2020 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  Laurent was 5.7 lbs. at birth and at 6 weeks old weighs 7.7 lbs.  Lawrence was 3.9 lbs. when he was born and now at 6 weeks weighs 9 lbs.

Their mother, Nareti Kampolo, left her village and traveled to Zimbabwe to search for better pastures and while she was there, became pregnant with the twins.  She gave birth by caesarean section and the wound would not heal.  Things were not going well for her or her boyfriend (who is from Malawi) so they decided to come back home to Malawi.  On her way home to Malawi (while nursing her c-section wound) she got sick at the Malawi-Mozambique border of Mwanza and immigration authorities took her to Mwanza District Hospital where she died 2 weeks later on November 6, 2020 due to post natal complications.

After this happened the babies are being looked after now by their grandmother, Eunice Filiasi, who is also looking after 6 other children.  Of those 6 children, 3 of them are grandchildren and 3 of them are her own.  She cannot afford to buy formula, everything she has goes towards feeding the other children she is already caring for.

We enrolled the babies just days after their mother's death and at this time they are in good health because someone gave them formula but they need more formula now to support them nutritionally since there is no longer any breastmilk or other formula available to them.

They are enrolled pending sponsorship for a probationary period of 3 months.  Can you please help us feed these precious twins?
